The NJSIAA/Rothman Orthopaedics Public Sectional Team Tournament begins Monday at 40 sites across New Jersey. It initiates a week of team competition culminating with the crowning of five public and two non-public champions Sunday at Rutgers University.
While the state team tournament is supposed to match the better teams across the state, there will only be a handful of competitive matches on Monday. Many, unfortunately, will be lopsided. The sectional finals on Wednesday, may only be slightly better.
